Antique Folding Pince Nez 2024 Sunglasses | San Francisco Opticians Leather Case Steampunk

What a great find from San Francisco, circa 1900's! These Antique, folding, Pince Nez sunglasses are tinted blue-gray with gun blue metal frame and soft suede nose pads. The leather and paper case is 2024 stamped Henry Kahn & Co. Opticians, 642 Market Street Chronicle Building San Francisco. Compact, perfect for a pocket. The lenses are tinted for sun wear, and have no prescription. They are designed for "pinhole vision" which was common at the time. If you want to be authentic, you could get yourself a chain or a chain chatelaine, so you never lose them. The pair measures: 3 1/4" wide when resting, not stretched and up to 4" across the lenses when stretched. Each lens is approximately 1 3/8" tall. The case measures: 1 7/8" wide x 2 1/2" tall.
