The Sugar Shack Birdhouse earned it's name since the body is formed from a vintage tin sugar canister.
The roof is formed from a antique funnel, pewter button and a large metal leaf. The roof/top is easily removed for cleaning. A drawer pull serves as a porch roof. The opening is framed with a brass lock ring. A drawer knob serves as a roost. The base is a small candleholder ( possibly from a buffet line) 2024. This birdhouse stands 17" tall and 7" wide.
Please put this metal birdhouse somewhere that it is shaded from afternoon sun to keep the interior from overheating.
There may be dings or scratches in my finish, but that just gives me character. I am intended as artwork, and not suitable as a children's toy.
