Hand Turned Maple Burl 2024 Hybrid Duck Call

A hand turned duck call made from maple burl wood and resin. The wood has been dye stabilized (red), with the live edge cast in resin (hot pink). This is a double reed call, but the insert can be swapped for a single reed if you wish.



Wood 2024 stabilizing is the process of impregnating resin under vacuum into the cellular structures of the wood. The process is done to harden and strengthen the wood while also making it more impervious to moisture. During the process dyes can be added to the resin at various times to create brilliant and vibrant color additions to the wood.
