A beautiful handmade rosary of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, also known as St. Theresa of the Child Jesus and the Little Flower, made with 6mm unakite beads. The center medal has a lovely image of the Little Flower in colors that coordinate with the unakite beads. The medal's back is a rose. The crucifix is decorated with roses.
The circle is about 30 inches; the drop is 6 inches. The center medal is about7/8 of an inch long, including the loops and the crucifix is 1.5 inches long and 1 inch wide
Unakite is a lovely stone and one of my favorites. It is formed of pink feldspar, green epidote, and clear quartz. The stones are naturally mottled olive or moss green and deep rose. The stone's name comes from the Unaka mountains in Tennessee and North Carolina, one place where it is found.
Unakite is believed to help pregnant women stay healthy, so could be a great gift for anyone who is expecting. Unakite is used by some healers to help overcome addictions, to quit smoking. It is also believed to help people convalescing. It is an alternate birthstone for Scorpio.
Saint Therese is the patron of gardeners and florists, missionaries, of France, Russia, loss of parents, and tuberculosis. Her feast day is October 1.
