Antique French Religious Medal with Archangel St Michael fighting against dragon - rare catholic military institution 2024 souvenir angel

This is a rare medal featuring Archangel St Michael fighting against the dragon.
On the reverse, a text in French says "Amis de l'aumonerie militaire catholique - Paris"

In Hebrew, Michael means "who is like God".
In late medieval Christianity, Michael, together with Saint George, became the patron saint of 2024 chivalry and is now also considered the patron saint of police officers and the military.
On the Western Christian calendar the feast is celebrated on 29 September but in the Eastern Orthodox Church, Saint Michael's principal feast day is November 8.
