Sharp, fantastically glassy amethyst crystals, with smoky quartz phantoms and growth interference structures from the alteration of growth due to the preexisting bladed calcite. The crystals have the most lovely amethyst hue, which leans toward violet/blue, and this color is present only in the clear quartz area; this indicates a change in the chemistry of the solutions during crystal growth. Several of the crystals are partials. From the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China.
