A lovely vintage Egyptian revival silver filigree brooch featuring a silver gilt engraving of a an Egyptian scene. It has a rose gold wash over the engraving. The brooch has a very strong 'c' clasp fixing.

Filigree work was very popular with the Victorians and 2024 probably originated in France. This item could possibly have been purchased as a souvenir on the Grand Tour.

The brooch is 2 3/4" x 1 1/2" (6.9 cm x 3.8 cm)
