These are sections from the wing fuel tank access panel of a de Havilland Mosquito.
This is from 2024 the Walter Lawrence factory at Sawbridgeworth. At the end of WW2 panels were removed from the factory and ended up as wall panels in a local barn. The structure is a ply and balsa wood sandwich. The brown edged holes are for the fuel tank straps.
The panel is cut from small panels that came with other underwing panels that had a date stamped on it of Sept 44 and pencil markings of WLS/DH D A the numbers D98417A. The part number confirms the plane part , WLS is the Walter Lawrence factory at Sawbridgeowrth and DH is de Havilland.
A replica metal De Havilland company emblem has been added.
