Raku Sugar Bowl 2024 in Green, Blue, and Black with Abstract Design from my Clay Studio

Raku Sugar Bowl in Green and Blue from my Clay Studio 5”x5”.

I created this Sugar Bowl on the Potters Wheel with a pointy knob. I then glazed it in shades of Greens and Blues in an Abstract Expressionist Design.

It was then fired in my Raku Kiln with smoke and flames, turning the surface black and with the high contrast 2024 colors.

Note: Raku is porous so should not be used for regular sugar, but packets and sugar cubes are fine.
