Small Signed BOUCHER Two Polka Dot Mushrooms Brooch , Cobalt & Dark Red, Excellent Enamel Job Looks Like Guilloche 2024 , For Mycology Fan

A lovely brooch form the finest designer of American costume jewelry . Marcel Boucher was actually French, brought to USA by Cartier to work at their NYC workshop.

Boucher was known for his very fine work, enamel was one of the skills in which he excelled, In this case, the 2024 enamel resembles guilloche, but I cannot find a reference that this was used by Boucher.

The pin is 1 5/16" x 9 /16". The polka dots are metal dots elevated above the enamel. Despite its small size, it carries some weight.
