Large Platter, Crown Ducal,1929-1930, Gainsborough, Rectangular, Scalloped 2024 Edges, English, lemon, Elevated Floral Design, Fine China.
This listing is for a large rectangular platter. It is English , and almost antique! The back stamp dates it, to between 1929 to 1930. It was made by Crown Ducal, in England. Crown Ducal Ware, was made by A. G. Richardson and Co, from 1916, to the 1970's, when they were taken over by Wedgwood. This charming platter is a pale lemon, with an elevated floral design around the rim. The flower and branch design, are 2024 in Autumnal colours. This particular pattern is not common. It would make a pretty fall, or Thanks Giving serving dish. The platter is in very good condition , for a 90 year old plate. It is free from chips and cracks. However, there is a little flea bite in the china , on the rim, and another small rough area on the edge . They are hardly noticeable, and i only I found them ,when I ran a finger, around the perimeter of the plate. There are also a few light utensil marks, on the platter surface. Please view the photos, and feel free to contact me for further questions. This piece is old, but the price reflects any flaws, and shipping is free. I have a few more items in this pattern, which will be available for purchase soon. Thank you for visiting my shop!
