Shamanic 2024 Rawhide Rattle with Buckskin Spiral over Maple Wood Handle

Rattles have been used for hundreds of years to achieve an altered state of mind, for shamanic journeying, healing ceremonies, and Native American ceremonies.

I hand stitched this rattle made with elk rawhide then added saddle tan and cream buckskin spiral wrapped around a maple wood handle. Saddle Tan buckskin fringe was also added. Traditional corn was placed inside this rattle to create a wonderful resonant sound.
