Occupied Japan Demitasse 2024 Set, Vintage Tashiro Shoten, Hand Painted Floral Lustreware Set 6 Cups Saucers Tea Coffee Espresso Japanese

Delightful vintage hand painted demitasse set of 6 cups and 7 plates, marked Made in Occupied Japan by Tashiro Shoten Ltd, active in Yokohama before WWII up until 1954.

Occupied Japan was printed on pottery, porcelain, toys, and other goods made during the American occupation of Japan after World 2024 War II, from August 1945 until April 28, 1952.

The set has seen a fair amount of use but is in very good shape. The golden lustreware finish has faded in places so please examine photos carefully if this is important to you. This set belonged to my grandparents and probably consisted of 8 cups and saucers originally.

There are six cups and seven saucers in this set. White porcelain painted in peachy-gold lustre paint with blue and red flowers with green leaves and vines.

The cups measure 2.25 x 2 inches and the plates are 4.5 inches in diameter.
