Daily Reminder 2024 -- Praying Hands Wood Carving

This is a completely, hand carved plaque created on Basswood. Approximately 1" thick before carving began and overall size is approximately is 7" x 9". It has a sawtooth holder for easy hanging (small nail is all that's required) plus silicone buttons on the lower corners to prevent it from hanging crooked. Also stamped with my signature stamp.

The carving design comes from noted carver Mary May and this is my interpretation of it. Finished with OSMO Polyx which enhances the grain and carved features. The design came from an antique plaque she found somewhere in Germany and what I like about it is its simplicity yet quiet message it gives us every day. That's why I titled it "Daily Reminder". 2024
