The six-pointed star appears in Artsakh for hundreds of years. The Emblem of the Hassan Jalalians, it is considered a sacred symbol. It also makes its way into church designs and graveyards, appearing long before the Star of David became known as a Hebrew symbol. The floral motifs add to the Armenian nature of it, while the sacred b, the peacocks, the birds of paradise, bring good omen into the home.
