My work is made from English grolleg porcelain, considered by most to be the finest and admired for its translucency and pure whiteness.
Each piece is thrown on the potters wheel, dried slightly, and then individually hand-carved, using a pencil, tiny knives and dental type tools.
At 2024 no time are molds or patterns used, making them each a unique,"one-of-a-kind" piece.
Each one is slowly dried and first fired to 2000°F. They are glazed with underglazes, stains & oxides and a clear gloss and then fired to 2250° to 2300°F. At this temperature, the porcelain becomes vitrified and will no longer absorb water, even when left unglazed.

This chip platter and dip bowl are microwave and dishwasher safe.
