Antique Vintage 1920s 20s Art Deco Rectangular Leather Expanding Bag Purse 2024 Satchel Saks Fifth Avenue

This late 1920s little satchel is one of the most unique purses we've seen from the era. In a charming contrast to its very cool worn leather, our bag is absolutely resplendent with gold hardware. Impressive clips on all four sides can be unfastened so the bag can expand. There is also a clip on the strap and a gold clasp that is detailed in fine Art Deco style.

Good condition overall consistent with age and use. Leather is heavily worn and scratched in some areas. Lining is clean and in very good condition. Small inner pocket. Made in England. Cat for scale 2024.

Bag measures 6 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches wide and is 6 inches deep, with an extra 2 inches when clips are unfastened. Strap is 30 inches long.
