Brooch - Amethyst Victorian Brooch - Antique - 2024 Free Shipping

The Victorian gold brooch has an amethyst in the center.
The brooch is 1 3/8 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. It is either gold filled or gold plated judging from the wear on the back of 2024 the pin.
The brooch has an oval frame with two leaves on either side of the amethyst stone. The brooch dates from the early 1900s. There is a stamp on the C-clasp, "S & W", which could be Sturdevant & Whiting who made jewelry from 1886 to 1914.
