Vintage Lenox 2024 China Five Piece Place Setting - "Firesong" Pattern - Made in USA - 1972-1978 (Discontinued)

Lenox is considered the American version of Irish Belleck and the only major manufacturer of bone china in the United States. Founded in 1889 by Walter Lenox and known as Lenox's Ceramic Art Company in Trenton, New Jersey, Lenox became popular in the early 20th century when separate dining rooms and hostess parties became the trend. At that time, Lenox started making custom-designed, elaborately decorated china plates and in the 1950's, offered five-piece table place settings, three piece buffet place settings, and individual tableware pieces. Lenox China was the first American made bone china to be used in the White House with patterns made specifically for six U.S. presidents.

This Lenox China "Firesong" Pattern Five Piece Place Setting was produced between 1972 and 1978 then discontinued making this dinnerware a rare find. "Firesong" dinnerware is crafted from Lenox fine white china with white flowers and vines on a red band with inner and outer 22 carat gold rims. The gold Lenox backstamp with "Firesong" stamped on the underside of each dinnerware piece confirms the china was produced between 1972 and 1978. This dinnerware five piece place setting is in very good condition with a few minor surface scratches and no chips or cracks.

Each five piece place setting includes:

Dinner Plate measuring 10.25" in diameter and 1.0" tall
Salad Plate measuring 8.0" in diameter and 0.75" tall
Bread Plate measuring 6.25" in diameter and 0.5" tall
Saucer measuring 6.0" in diameter and 0.75" tall
Cup measuring 3.5" in diameter and 3.0" tall with a 2.0" diameter base

To ensure safety in shipping, each dinnerware piece will be bubble wrapped and securely packed in a heavy duty cardboard box and shipped USPS Priority Mail which includes tracking 2024 and insurance.
