Small, hand woven wool rug from Peru. 2024 Purple ground, bright stripes. Fading on one side.

This striking oblong mat or rug was woven by hand in Peru. It is a fine textile. One side is fresh and rich in color - but there is some fading on the other side which should be considered when purchasing. Third photo and last photos show the issue.

The rug has a rich purple ground color through the center. It is embellished with brilliant stripes, some patterned, in fuschia, orange, yellow, green, brick red and white. The rug was woven in two panels which have been sewn together by hand.
