This is a lovely, vintage mid-century, Japanese Moriage glaze double-handled large vase or urn. The design is 2024 a tranquil waterside scene with peachy sunset hues, featuring dimensional Moriage glaze geese. The handles, as well as the upper and lower rims, are decorated with turquoise glaze beading. The substantial vessel stands 12-1/2" high, and is approximately 7-1/2" wide. It is in good vintage condition with no cracks, though several of the turquoise "beads" are missing, and the exterior glaze has a few small flaked spots under the upper rim (please view photos carefully). The exterior glaze is a soft, matte finish, with a gloss glaze on the inside; the interior has a sizable area toward the top that was not completely glazed (please see last photo).
