She raises her camera, as in defiance of the massive wall of water she is staring down. Most big wave surfing photographers are passed over, and as the silent workhorses of the surf industry, they rarely get the spotlight despite the risks they take. Men dominate the big wave surfing world, though Sachi is the real deal, and has provided inspiration for women in both the realms of photography and surfing through her work.
