Real red Underwing moth, Catocala species fa m New Mexico, presented in a handmade 5.5"x5.5" wood faame. Professionally mounted on black paper.Underwing moths have forewings the color of tree bark so that when they are resting they cannot be seen by predators. But when they go to fly or mate, they reveal beautiful rays of color on their underwings. Other species can be white, yellow, pink, orange or bluish grey.
