Commissioned by the Women's Christian Temperance Union, th3 first edition was published in 1889, it contains a first person account of the 19th century women's movement. There are delightful etchings and photographs that bring to life that day and time.

Handsome, the green grey cloth bound book is charming. It is decorated on the front and spine with gilt illustrations and lettering,

This rare antique book is in very good condition. The binding is tight. The front hinge is loose.

The pages of the book have that old fashioned cotton rag content that is lush and soothing to the finger tips.
