Handmade pottery beer stein, 12-14 ounce fish large 2024 coffee mug.

I made this, pottery beer stein, fish stein, 12 -14 ounce large coffee cup, sgraffito carved, large stein, in my studio in the mountains of Colorado.

First, I threw this pottery mug on the wheel. Once slightly dry, I add 2024 the handle. Next I sketch a drawing of the fish, then apply light washes of underglaze color. I apply black underglaze to surrounding areas. Then I use a sharp tool to complete the sgraffito work. This piece was fired in a soda kiln. I love drawing these fish on my mugs.

This Pottery is about 5."tall and 3.5" wide, holds approximately 12 ounces of liquid.

It is microwave and dishwasher safe.
