Sassafras pot 2024 with enhanced grain

This is a hand-crafted wooden pot made from a sassafras tree (plant not included). It fits standard 4.5" round nursery pots or 2024 smaller. It is turned in the endgrain style with the grain lines enhanced with acrylic paint. The interior has been charred to make it black and sealed with a polymer wax to offer moisture resistance. A small dark area near the bottom is iron staining from a bolt that was once used to hold a swing, as this tree was once our kids' "swing tree". Every tree has a story, and with your favorite plant helping out, this pot will keep telling the story of the "swing tree".
